Calm and Confident: An arts based approach for mastering stress management and self confidence.

Self confidence is neither an active or a passive phenomena, it is about developing your capacity for calm. Through guided art processes, meditations, grounding techniques, psycho-education and worksheets you will understand and find the stillness of the ‘integrated mind’. You will learn to balance the rational with the emotional. You will understand the importance of your secure base. You will learn how to make art from an embodied and diagrammatic perspective opening space for insight into your own unconscious dynamics. All this is completely FREE!


‘Calm and Confident Part 2’ is an extensive and transformational, 15 day arts based self therapy program. Available below.



All you need is time, space and commitment.

This course requires between 20 minutes to an hour for each ‘day’. You will be guided through each part of the course step by step. You will find it a relaxing meditational experience. There is no requirement for previous experience in the Arts. You just need some basic art materials ready. Just a sheet of paper and a pen or pencil will do.

Hi, I’m Chris, I am an Art Psychotherapist (HCPC) welcome to Calm and Confident.



I used to struggle. I had low self confidence. I lived over seas for 12 years, attending retreats across Asia, studying mindfulness practice. Change became my passion. I returned home and qualified as a Psychotherapist. I now work as an Art Psychotherapist (HCPC) privately and in the National Health Service.
